Safe Journey Home Projects

Northern Ramsey County Project

Currently 67 women and children are sheltered in a JHMN home each night. Nearly all of JHMN’s tenants come to us from various local domestic violence shelters. Our research showed there was a tremendous shortage of housing needed to support those victimized by domestic violence.

We have provided four homes to a local Domestic Violence shelter. These homes are state-of-the-art and sit quietly in a residential neighborhood served by a strong school district. We also make our homes available to women leaving a domestic violence shelter. Data shows that a great majority of women and children leaving a shelter return to the home where the abusive partner resides. This usually occurs due to women’s limited options for housing. We provide an excellent alternative.
